Welcome to our first Gardener of 2019

First out of the barn and gaining momentum is Anthony Q. our first active member of the Village Store community garden at John J. Byrne Community Center.

Anthony secured two 8-foot raised beds, brought in his top-soil and plants, then went right to work planting. He has completed planting one plot and will continue on the next. His plots each bear a label attesting to his membership status. Anthony will be adhering to the rules we have established so far to maintain his garden plots.

We look forward to welcoming many more into the membership and expect a flourishing community garden in the near future. Congratulations, Anthony Q!

Community Garden Raised Bed. See the bed that Anthony Q. has planted. The one to the right will be planted next. Anthony Q. chose to begin with flowers. The garden will incorporate a mixture of vegetables and flowers.

We have come up with a Garden Design for the entire garden, and ask aspiring gardeners to Contact Us so you can come by and choose where you'd like your plot and begin your orientation on the Community Garden Rules and Regulations.

Our Steering Committee cannot wait to have our first garden celebratory event, and award achievement pins to all our gardeners!
