The corporation is formed

September 6, 1988 – Uniondale Neighborhood Center takes necessary steps that lead to formalize its legal structure as a public corporation to benefit the Uniondale community.

The incorporation papers of the Uniondale Neighborhood Center is approved, and the by-laws are ratified by the board of directors. All the continuing hard work of the board members have led to formal approval of the necessary paperwork of incorporation, bylaws, and mission statement are duly adopted by the board.

Work continues on the application for not-for-profit status as a search for an appropriate site is being pursued. The members are enthused.
